Our water . . .

is a treasure
to be protected
as a commons
held in the public trust,

not a commodity
sold in the
global marketplace
to the highest bidder.

All of life
must have access to
a sufficient quantity
of clean water.

An open invitation to friends, students, artists, teachers, workers, children and elders to collaborate on a collective art project connecting our local, national and global water justice struggles.

Through multiple mediums we can manifest our dreams of what a world of water justice looks like.

Defending Water for Life is developing an art exhibition to examine, confront and change the multiple facets of the world water crisis. From pollution to water inequity in the Global South, mega-dams, bottled water and privatization...the global community faces major challenges to meet our planet's water needs.

Our first show will be in Portland, Maine. Our goal is to create an exhibit that can be shown in communities throughout the United States working for water equity.

Tell Nestlé to stop taking over
community water resources!

Nestlé is looking to build new bottling facilities across the US.
At its annual meeting on April 23rd, Nestlé will try to avoid responsibility for its practices by trumpeting its greenwashing initiatives. Let CEO Kim Jeffery know we see through the ad campaigns and the sponsorships.
